Art After Hours
Students undertaking the Senior Visual Arts 2 Unit course are required to develop and produce a sustained Body of Work as part of their HSC requirements.
The Visual Arts faculty host the Art After Hours program for our Senior Visual Art students every second Tuesday afternoon after school. This program allows for extended practice and development of their Body of Work. Students from Year 11 and 12 are invited to undertake artmaking in a collaborative environment fostered by our Visual Art Teachers and enriched by creative opportunities.
Winmalee High School Visual Arts students are offered opportunities to participate in a range of opportunities that are offered externally. Our Visual Arts Faculty organise student groups annually to participate in Local and National competitions and workshops. These include Operation Art, Nagoya Exchange, NSW Reconciliation Challenge, National Art School Dobell Drawing Workshop, National Art School HSC Intensive Studio Course, MCA Digital Workshops, Head On Photographic Prize and more.
All students of all year groups are encouraged to engage in these opportunities with teacher coordinators supporting their progress and development.

We would like to welcome you to the Dharug and Gundungurra land on which our school resides, acknowledging that though the surrounding environment has changed over time, the spiritual connection between the land and indigenous peoples remains. We would like to thank all those who gather and respect this connection. We would also like to pay our respects to elders both past and present and extend that respect to those with indigenous heritage within our school community. (Troy Zoernleib – Vice Captain 2022)
