Winmalee High School's motto of 'strive to achieve' continues as a focus in academic, cultural, artistic and sporting endeavours. The school has a strong academic reputation and excels in terms of visual arts, band and dance programs which encourage performance in eisteddfods and other state-wide opportunities including PULSE and Schools Spectacular. Many students experience success in competitions including debating, public speaking, English, mathematics, science, and computing, as well as in the many sporting teams that have competed successfully in Sydney West through to state.
The school staff and students produce exciting musical and dramatic theatre productions including a biennial musical. As a dynamic comprehensive Years 7 to 12 high school with a wide range of opportunity for students, the school provides a balanced and challenging curriculum which caters for all. The staff are committed to the success of students, spending time and resources to develop skills, knowledge, and understanding essential to succeeding. The Learning Hub ensures that students are provided extra support for their emotional needs as well as learning and support needs.
Within this environment, the school provides opportunities for students to lead in their own lives as well as others through Peer Support, Duke of Edinburgh and other leadership programs. The ultimate goal is to support all students to strive in their endeavours and develop as positive and proud local citizens at Winmalee High School and in the wider community.
